10 Steps to Buying Your Home

Closing
Closing is the legal transfer of home ownership from the seller to the buyer. It is a formal meeting in which the majority of the involved parties will attend. Closing procedures are usually held at the title company's office. Your closing officer will coordinate the document signing and the collection and disbursement of all funds related to your home purchase.
To ensure an efficient closing, each party involved should bring all the necessary documents and be prepared to pay associated closing costs. Parties will also be required to present photo identification, and many documents will need to be notarized.
Your real estate agent will be present at the closing to explain documents, answer questions and help resolve any issues that may arise.
