10 Steps to Buying Your Home
< Back
Pre-close Preparation
As the closing date becomes closer, the staff at The will be in contact with the title company and mortgage company to confirm that all the necessary documents are being prepared. It is extremely important to make sure that the documents are delivered to the correct location, so you can review and sign them at settlement. At this point, you will be notified of your final amount due for closing. These funds should be in the form of a cashier's or certified check, usually made payable to the title company. If you are closing on a home just prior to your home purchase, you may simply sign over the proceeds check from the previous settlement!
Making sure that each document is ready and available will enable you to have a quick and easy closing.
